China reaffirms boundaries of sea close to flash level reef

China reasserted its territories round a flash level reef within the South China Sea on Sunday, two days after the Philippines outlined its personal sea boundaries within the contested waters.

Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos on Friday signed two legal guidelines defining the nation’s sea waters and imposing fastened lanes for overseas ships, sparking a pointy riposte by China which summoned Manila’s envoy.

Beijing’s overseas ministry stated in an announcement on Sunday that the federal government had „delimited and introduced the baselines of the territorial sea adjoining to Huangyan Dao.“
